The largest of the Iowa gambling halls is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, a Native American gambling hall in Tama, with 127,669 square feet of gambling space, 1,500 slots, 30 table games, such as vingt-et-un, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and many styles of poker; including 3 eatery’s, bimonthly entertainment, and gambling advice. A further large Amerindian gambling den is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 sq.ft., 668 slot machines, and 14 table games. Also, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and 4 dining rooms. There are several other popular Iowa casinos, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 slots, and 39 table games.
A tinier Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a river boat gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slots, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slots, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa water based gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is open all hours, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 slots, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot river based gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 one armed bandits, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday blackjack tournaments.
Iowa casinos present an awesome deal of tax money to the government of Iowa, which has allowed the budgeting of a good many state wide projects. Visitors have grown at a rapid rate along with the demand for processors and an increase in employment. Iowa casinos have contributed to the advancement of the economy, and the excitement for gambling in Iowa is widespread.
